Inspirational: Live your life the way you want to, because if anybody cares, then you can tell they're not as happy as you are. Everybody has regrets, even if they say they don't. You can either spend the rest of your life trying to fix what can't be fixed, or just tell yourself the truth: you're not perfect and never will be. So it's ok. You can't change the past, only your perspective of it. Success isn't about always getting what you want. It's about learning to be content with saying you tried your best. Sometimes all you need is one person with faith in you to give you back faith in yourself. You shouldn't love something because you're good at it. You should be good at something because you love it. Don't worry when things don't go the way you wanted them to. Every time something goes wrong, something comes out of the situation that's better than the original plan. Don't live your life always wanting to be the best. Because if you do, you'll miss out on some great chances to be the best you can be. Yeah, at times, life is gonna suck. Get used to it. Christian: Learn to look past first impressions. After all, the world was saved by a carpenter from Nazareth. I don't need makeup or cool clothes; Jesus knows I'm beautiful. Forgiving someone who has hurt you badly is hard, but do you want to know what's even harder? Wanting forgiveness and being denied it. The only thing in this dirty world worth paying for is Jesus' love. And it's free. I'm not perfect & quite frankly, I hope I never am, because then I might start to think I don't need God. "Friends with benefits"? Uh, yeah, all friends have benefits. Might as well just call him "some kid I sleep with". Tough situations are like a Chinese finger trap; the harder you struggle to get out, the harder it is, but if you go towards God it makes everything so much easier. The thing is, a lot of times we look at people like the saints and think of them as so distant, so different; we think we can never be like them. What we fail to realize is that they started just like us. Don't ask God to solve all your problems. That's not what prayer's about. It's about asking for wisdom and guidance so you can solve them. When you get out into the real world, you start to discover that being a hardcore, diehard Catholic doesn't make you popular. But if you really are a hardcore, diehard Catholic, that shouldn't matter. Jesus hung on the cross for 3 hours and sacrificed his life for us. I think we can sacrifice an hour a week to go to church. Love/Heartbreak: At one point in your life, you'll meet the right guy and say to yourself, "I just know that's him." You know you love someone when you're able to stare at their picture for hours and not be the least bit bored. He said, "I love you", & she just walked away because she knew he didn't mean it. & I spent that whole night scribbling your name on scraps of paper, then shredding them and throwing them away because I didn't want anyone to see. But on the inside I'm having a heart attack. Here's what I don't get: Why is it easier for me to solve a damn rubix cube than to tell him how I feel? Saying that I don't love you would be like saying that apples, bananas, and oranges aren't fruits. That Earth doesn't orbit around the sun. That humans aren't living creatures. IT WOULDN'T BE TRUE. I've wasted so many days THINKING OF YOU. I've used up so many tissues CRYING FOR YOU. I've broken my own heart just by TALKING TO YOU. But you know what? I'm done. I'M THROUGH. You know you love him when he brings out the best in you. If you focus on him, you ace that test. If you know he's watching, you always make that goal. I spent so much time crying. Not because you didn't love me, but because I had been too stupid to realize it. I'm the kind of girl that right when he's about to ask me out, I'll change the subject. Because I'm scared. People separate or grow apart, and some just wind up hating each other in the end. I'm just glad to know that me and my buds have that special kind of bond, the one that'll hold us together even in the roughest situations. Then we really can be best friends forever. Great friends are like a great brownie: sweet, a little nutty, and with something great to top it all off. But if you let it sit too long without eating it, it'll never taste as good. I've heard a lot of people call their best friend the cheese to their macaroni. I guess that means you're bland and boring without them? Well, my best friend is the macaroni to my cheese. Because without macaroni, a packet of powdered cheese is just...nothing. Miscellaneous: There's two kinds of cool: "cool but not cool" and "not cool but cool". The "cool but not cool" people are the fakes, the ones who try to follow the crowd and put others down. The "not cool but cool" people love who they are. They're loyal friends, and they're not afraid to act random and stupid. Who do you want to be? Life isn't like the books and movies written about it. "Good wins, bad loses", it's all a cliche. Why hasn't anyone ever written a book like reality, where the protagonist always fails? Some people are like slurpees: icy cold at first but eventually it all melts away and you see how great they are. I know I'm a loser. And the best part is, I don't care. I've heard people say, "It's not about what you say, it's how you say it." Oh yeah? So it's better to say "You suck" in a kind, gentle tone than "I love you" bitterly? Oh really? We don't need to change our attitudes? There are people starving, and all we care about is the new episode of Laguna. Never be afraid to just kick off your shoes and DANCE. Never believe the rumors. Look at Romeo and Juliet. They DIED because of some stupid misunderstanding. If I'm being quiet, it doesn't mean I'm a quiet person. It means I'm saving my energy for my next big loud, random, crazy moment. I can't wait to grow up. Because when I do, I can tell my kids, "When I was your age, Pluto was a planet." You can't write the best comedy. Because life's most hilarious moments are unscripted. Okay, so maybe we can't fight the man, but we can beat up a man, which is still pretty fun. I'm not wrong; I'm right in a wrong way. Why would you wanna be just like everybody else? Everyone knows copycats are annoying. I just don't get why any person would strive so hard to be "popular". Trends are stupid and they fade. & even though it sounds clichèd, if you have to change just to be someone's friend they're not your friend. Hell, you're way too good for them. If you try to change who you are, you'll end up not even knowing yourself anymore. |
